Econet's 5G now available for everyone

On 24 February last year, Econet made history by becoming the first MNO in Zimbabwe to provide the 5th Generation network technology (5G) in Zimbabwe. Yes it was a big milestone for us as a country but as for us whose devices don’t support 5G, we didn’t give much thought on it. According to TechZim, since it’s launch till now, Econet’s 5G has been a no show. A friend of mine with a Redmi Note 10 also said that his 5G wasn’t functional too. However, it’s been stated that 5G is now functional across 22 5G sites in the country for Econet users with 5G capable devices. However, in one of Edwin Chabuka‘s articles he pointed out that for you to access Econet’s 5G, you need to visit any of their branches directly.
